General Sales Manager for Cox Media Virginia
Lori brings with her more than 30 years of media experience, including several years with Cox Media Group in Atlanta. As General Sales Manager, Lori develops and coaches sales managers and sellers to lead with knowledge about the client’s marketing needs to improve the client’s success by selling integrated solutions that get results.
Most recently, Lori was a Senior Consultant with the Creative Resources Group, where she worked with media companies (cable, radio, tv, and publishers) to grow their business by creating demand with a marketing-based approach. In this role, she coached and trained senior sales leaders and sellers in solution-based selling and strategic account management.
Lori is not a newcomer to Cox. From 1993 through 2005, Lori worked in Atlanta for Cox Radio. She was promoted to General Sales Manager for WSB-AM and turned the property into a top-five news/talk station in the country. Five years later, Lori was promoted to General Manager of a new station in Atlanta, WBTS-FM, where she built the station from the ground up. WBTS was the first station in Cox Radio’s history to make a profit in its first year.
Lori is a graduate of James Madison University with a degree in radio, tv, and film. Lori is married and has two kids, Tyler and Winnie. She comes from a big, close family, and her dad was a syndicated cartoonist who drew the comic strip Crock.
