Trademark and Branding: A Collaborative Learning Session
Join the AMA Hampton Roads on Thursday, February 28, 2019 for an interactive workshop at Christopher Newport University with our chapter legal counsel Duncan Byers, Shareholder at Pender & Coward, P.C. Registration closes Wednesday, February 27th.
In this event, you’ll work as a group with a trademark attorney to create trademarks for a “new” product. The group will work through the process of creating, clearing trademarks, and filing for trademark registration. You will learn how the law views what you create as branding professionals, and get an understanding of the legal nuts and bolts of the creation, clearance and registration process.
Three key takeaways:
Walk through how to create a trademark that the law considers unique and enforceable in the marketplace
Learn the process of clearing trademarks in both the marketplace and with the US Trademark Office
Understand how trademarks are enforced
