As vice president of mission advancement of Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia, Andrea Butler oversees the organization’s marketing, communications and resource development efforts to raise awareness of and support for its mission. She is a member of the executive team for this nonprofit workforce development organization that has a $75M operating budget and 1,400 employees.
Butler has more than 30 years of experience in strategic communications and fundraising for organizations ranging from nonprofits to start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Butler earned a B.A. in journalism from James Madison University and taught journalism as an adjunct professor at American University. She is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond, served on the Board of Directors for the Better Housing Coalition, and is a member of Impact 100 RVA.
